A Lagos-based charity organisation, Folabomi Foundation, Friday, announced its plan to feed and clothe 250 homeless children in Lagos in December 2022.

According to the Convener of the organisation, Folabomi Ogunjimi in a statement which was made available to our correspondent in Abuja, the foundation has been engaged in a charity project tagged, “ClotheTheClotheless” since 2018.

The LENTORLITENEWS reports that the foundation had in March 2022 procured the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination forms for 46 female students while 600 students of Ijesa-tedo Senior Secondary School and Sanya Senior Secondary School were trained in a series of career-related workshops the foundation organised.

In the statement, Ogunjimi described the foundation as “an initiative that was born out of passion to render service to humanity. It is our mission to create innovative ways to tackle societal challenges of the younger generation through citizen participation. Ultimately, our goal is to provide real-life essentials to underprivileged children in and around our community.

“Our team comprises a group of young, passionate and selfless individuals who are driven by this goal and our mission which is to ensure that children have access to good basic education, clothing, and go to sleep at night with a dream and hope for the future.

Speaking further, Ogunjimi noted that the children who had been beneficiaries of the projects had been filled with hope for “a better tomorrow”.

She said, “From December 2018 till date, over 850 children living in poor communities and slums have been fed and clothed with brand new clothing pieces through the #ClotheTheClothless project by the FOLABOMI Foundation.

“These children, who would ordinarily wear tattered clothing year-in, year-out, are reminded that they matter, giving them refueled hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Speaking further, Ogunjimi called on the public to support the foundation by donating, “The public can join and support Folabomi Foundation in feeding and clothing 250 less-privileged children with brand new clothes this Christmas. They can donate to Folabomi Foundation.”
