NESG reschedules economic summit

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group said it has rescheduled its 28th summit one month.

It said in a statement that the summit scheduled to take place in October had been shifted to November.

The group said it made the difficult decision to reschedule the summit after close consultations with key stakeholders, including the Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning.

It attributed the postponement to “unforeseen circumstances,” regretting the inconveniences the rescheduling might cause all stakeholders preparing for the summit.

“The summit will convene national and global leaders in government, business, politics, development, civil society, and academia to deliberate on issues in Nigeria’s transition year,” the group said,

It added that there would be an opportunity to participate virtually.
