A music producer, Adenola Gabriel, aka Eskeez, has said there is no law that bars producers from becoming artistes, as the evolution of music producers to musicians themselves makes the craft dynamic.
He told Sunday Scoop, “People have different abilities and talents. Some can make beats and write well, but may not be able to sing. Meanwhile, some can produce and sing. It depends on individual abilities, and the grace of God. There is no law that says a producer cannot also be an artiste. It is a matter of choice.”
Eskeez also stated that he would be opening a music production academy soon because he wanted to lay down a good legacy for up-and-coming acts and talents who are passionate about music production. He added that he would also be releasing an Extended Play album soon.
